How to order

Get in touch via the cake enquiry page. There you can booking a consultation or submit your requirements through the cake request form.
Based on your specifications I will develop a design tailored to your needs and send you a quote for your request.
Once the quote and design is approved by you via a digital signature, we will move ahead to the payment process to confirm your order.
Once payment has been recieved, your delivery is secured and the crafting your masterpiece in process.

Please place your order as soon as possible to secure your delivery day and avoid disappointment by non-availability.
Wedding cakes require a minimum of 2 weeks order time, celebration cakes and confections a minimum of 1 week.

All products are exclusively handcrafted by myself to the highest standard, that is reflected in the price.
My prices are based on the amount of portions needed and complexity of design request.
Prices start from €9,50 a portion for celebration cakes, and from €11 a portion for wedding cakes.
Wedding cakes are more time and material intensive due to the stacking process, therefore have a higher portion price. If a simple 1 tier wedding cake is requested, the portion price will be based on celebration cake price.
A standard portion has a minimum weight of 75g cake, offering a satisfying dessert serving. Smaller (finger) portions are available upon request.

Alterations are possible after confirming your order and need to be requested in writing via email at maxie@mgcake.design
Wedding cake orders can be changed up to 2 weeks before delivery date, celebration cake and confection orders up to 1 week before delivery date.
Changes to your order after the inital confirmation might entail an additional cost.

Deliveries are available throughout the Netherlands from €0,60 per kilometer. International upon request.
In central Amsterdam, delivery prices start from €16,50 during weekdays, higher rates apply on weekends.
My standard delivery times are between 9am to 6pm, delivery outside this time range is possible upon request.
Order collection from the shop is free of charge, available Wednesday to Saturday, between 10am to 5pm. Tweede Goudsbloemdwarsstraat 14-16, 1015 JZ Amsterdam, inside the BBrood store.

Set-up on site is an optional service that depends on your requirements and delivery location.
For large cake orders with multiple cakes I recommend to request the set-up service to ensure everything is displayed and arranged in the best possible manner.
If the set-up service becomes necessary to fulfil your cake order, i.e. the design is fragile and requires assambly on location, I will inform you upfront with a reflective charge included in the quoted delivery fee.

A small selection of cake stands is available to hire for a fee of €30 per stand.
To guarantee a safe return, a deposit of €100 per stand will be charged on top. Once the stand(s) have been recieved back in good order the deposit payment will be transferred back.

Depending on your design, the cake(s) need to be stored refrigerated or at room temperature. Detailed storage and serving information will be provided via a delivery note upon delivery or collection.
My cakes are made fresh, any leftovers can be enjoyed for a minimum of 2-3 days after delivery.

I welcome requests to cater for vegan, flourless or any other dietary requirements you might have. Please inform me of any specific needs during your enquiry.
Please be aware that allergens like wheat, milk, eggs, nuts, soya, sesame and sulphites are handled in the kitchen.
Although the utmost care is taken to avoid cross-contamination, traces of the listed allergens cannot be excluded.

For orders above €1000, a 50% deposit payment is required to secure your order. Orders below €1000 need to be paid within 14 days of recieving the invoice, unless a short ordering notice is given, then payment is due within 48 hours.
To pay, you will receive an invoice stating your order details and the payment date. Ideal payments are possible via QR code on the invoice.
